Space Distribution

One of the most stimulating challenges in architectural projects is certainly the search for harmony in the construction within the space it occupies. The layout of the house is oriented to maximize the view, with the living area to the east opening up to the valley. The different volumes adapt to the slope of the terrain, with the sleeping area on the upper floor and other rooms and wellness areas on the lower floor.

The space

The living area is located on the same level as the entrance, connecting the two remaining volumes into a single space.

Materials and coatings

The house is made of exposed concrete in the interior spaces, while the exterior is completely clad in wood, recalling Alpine architectural traditions. The larch cladding acts as a sunshade, controlling sunlight and ensuring energy efficiency.

Harmony with space

Thanks to the presence of multiple volumes that follow the terrain's conformation, the house appears to slide on the ground, giving lightness to the entire project.

The cladding, made of vertical larch slats that surround the building, becomes a sunshade designed for solar control and energy containment, filtering the private internal world and the external one. The wooden slats can be rotated, achieving different orientations, creating different spacings, through which the gentle light of the Alps subtly vibrates.
