BIG's LANESCRAPER is among six proposals shortlisted for developer Beulah International's competition to design a mixed-used landmark tower in Melbourne's Southbank Boulevard. BIG and Fender Katsalidis Architects present two 360m high interlocking blocks with a stacked shape and a series of 'laneways' that provide both stability and natural points of connectivity between the towers. The scheme features a range of residential, retail and cultural amenities including offices, serviced apartments, library, two-tiered auditoriums and a BMW experience center.
