The Senior Cohousing by arqbag takes advantage of an old farm shed which has been converted into a home, and is designed to accommodate two families. The starting point for the renovation is the study of each individual's lifestyle: every space in the home is designed to accommodate and respond to the needs of its residents

A new central element is inserted into the warehouse to overcome the problem of privacy when multiple spaces are included. With this addition, the large central open space is reconfigured and multiple subspaces are created, arranged both in the ground plan and in section
The core is formed by a masonry wall of compact earth blocks, which creates open spaces for storage or installation, closed spaces and passageways connecting or separating the rooms. All the services of the house are concentrated in the centre, with the aim of not altering the original stone walls
