Kasia and Adam were fortunate enough to secure a buildable plot in this highly sought-after area, prized for its beauty and proximity to New York. They commissioned the German design firm Baumraum, discovered through media, as they were researching their dream of having a treehouse and stumbled upon their "Cliff Treehouse" project

The clients, both great enthusiasts of modern and linear architecture, did not want a traditional structure for their treehouse. From the design phase, with some parts of the house made of wood and metal produced in Germany, and others assembled on-site by a carefully selected regional craftsmen company, the Black Crystal was born
The warm tone of the oak wood interiors contrasts with the black exterior that almost seems detached. The walls and roof are clad with a geometric pattern of oak profiles, and the angular lines emphasize the crystalline shape of the project. The sofa can be transformed into a large bed with the use of inserts. The loft can also be used for sleeping, playing, and dreaming
