EDAA Strategies for Architectural Development is a Mexican office specialized in the production of contemporary and multidisciplinary architecture based on architectural and graphic design, illustration and construction. It is also an experienced developer of commercialization strategies and financial designs. Architect and founder Luis Arturo García established EDAA as an independent practice, after working in several architecture firms in Mexico and Canada whose main focus was the creation of architectural, landscaping and urban design projects. EDAA’s projects have earned it both national and international acclaim. In Mexico City’s Palace of Fine Arts, it was recognized as the country’s best architecture firm and won the gold medal during the First Biennial of Young Architects (FCARM, 2015); was awarded the silver medal in Mexico City’s Second Biennial of Architecture (CAM-SAM, 2015); took home the top prize during the Architizer A+Awards (New York, 2015) in the Architecture+Water category, and was nominated for the Big Latin-American Architecture Oscar Niemeyer (Red BAAL 2016) and for the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (MCHAP, 2014/2015) granted by the Technological Institute of Illinois in recognition to the most distinguished architectural works built on the North and South American continents. Recently, it won the International Dedalo Minosse Award by the Arquitectura Comisión - OCCAM Under 40 (Vicenza, Italia, 2017).
