For many years Ana Milena Hernández Palacios and Christophe Penasse have been reflec-ting on their evolution with Masquespacio, feeling the need to evolve towards a more arti-stic and less commercial approach, through the creation of a new parallel brand.
Rocking chair between combinations of material, colour and shape. An artistic vision of furniture
Masquespacio presents Too Mach a piece of furniture of his new brand Mas Creations through which the studio wants to present his unique vision of a universe that mixes digi-tal, photography, objects and space, in a contrast of shapes and colours.
A first attempt to launch that independent vision was made with the release of the Dr. Workshop stool. Due to the cancellation of Milano Design Week and the ban in Spain for two months, the design team decided to focus their energies on the official launch of the new brand.
The main piece of this first launch is the rocking chair "Too Much" that mixes combinations of colours with materials and shapes. In an unusual way the design tries to combine coloured velvets with different marbles and stainless steel. Above the rocking chair is the " Ball Pot", a large flower vase that tries to create a unique emotion through the combina-tion of wood and yellow marble.
The launch on the other side includes a 3D-designed campaign inspired by the iconic inte-riors and artists of the 1970s. In the lounge area there is a clear reference to the house of Álvarez (1974 - 1976) or the stairs of Celine's store in Milan designed by Sergio Asti in 1978, the kitchen of Arthur Elrod and the house of Joseph & Wiki Dennis.
Mas Creations in this way is a clear representation of the graphic style that contrasts with Masquespacio's materials and colours, with his process to bring the past to the future. The goal of the project is to collaborate with local artisans for each new design that will be in-corporated into the collection in the following months with a new launch every fortnight.
