In just six months from the start of ZJJZ Architecture's project, Mountain Restaurant & Bar opened its doors, thanks to the use of steel structures that could be built quickly. The architecture is adapted to the site, which is located on a steep slope near a bamboo forest, overlooking the valley
Mountain Restaurant & Bar: volumes, spaces and settings following the slope of a hill
ZJJZ Architecture's Mountain Restaurant & Bar project is based on a study of the relationship between volumes, spaces and environments, without obstructing views of the surrounding landscape or contact with nature, which infiltrates the interior spaces

The composition of the spaces tries not to screen views of the landscape as it infiltrates the interior space of both the restaurant and the bar. The bar is on the ground floor, while the restaurant is further down the hillside. The external facades of its volumes are made up of dark-coloured shutters which integrate the building with the surrounding natural landscape
A combination of glass and vertical shutters for the façade of the restaurant, where the main entrance is located, introduces soft natural light into the space, maintaining the feeling of being immersed in the mountain scene. Vertical louvers on the valley side are folded along the folding frames and can be opened fully when desired, thus encompassing the high mountains and giving the room a different atmosphere depending on the climate and season
