Every detail of the A Home for Readers project is evaluated and considered through the careful collaboration between the ATOMAA studio and the clients who own the apartment and who clearly and precisely express their desires. The rooms more or less retain their original nature, but are transformed in terms of aesthetics and colors
Above the treetops of Milan, in a light-filled apartment functionality and aesthetics vie for the throne
A Home for Readers. A young couple, with a passion for reading, cinema, design and music, renovate an apartment in one of the most beautiful streets of Milan: the rooms retain their original nature but are transformed in terms of aesthetics and colors

The existing living room changes its face and becomes an open space characterized by a colored cement grit floor that creeps into every room. The space opens up thanks to a sequence of large portals on one side towards the dining room and the kitchen, and on the other towards the reading corner and the bow-window
The bedroom and the study are the only two rooms that maintain an older style, with the original parquet floor renovated. These two rooms are also connected to the rest of the house with large arched doorways that let you expand your field of vision and fill the interior with natural light
The arch and the curve, as well as the pastel pink and dark green colors that alternate elegantly in all the interiors are the key features of the project especially in the bathroom which is a refined and custom designed environment
