An area limited to 50 m2 is to become a refuge, a working area and a place to welcome friends without requiring spaces designed exclusively for each function. A guiding principle is the creation of different areas without setting hierarchies to prioritize their versatility and preserve the privacy of certain areas such as the bedroom. The functional requirements recommend the complete redefinition of the space
From the U-shaped plan it can be clearly seen that the profile of the house has enormous potential: the possibility of a single, fluid and light space without the need for physical partitions. The U curves inevitably reduce the sense of a "single space" and give every sector a "small privacy"
The interaction between the two juxtaposed ideas, a sliding space and the maintenance of privacy, was resolved by the location of the bathroom (a walk-in-shower cubicle). The bathroom (a walk-in shower cubicle) hinged between the bedroom and the toilet, it resolves the interconnection between the social and sleeping areas, allowing the dual function of the toilet (as a visitor toilet and private bathroom). The fold in one of the U-shaped feet ensures the privacy of the bedroom without the need for a door
This functional arrangement allows you to walk through the walk-in shower cubicle in a circular way providing a private path from the bedroom to the toilet. A glass door between the bedroom and the walk-in cubicle (water vapor sealing) allows the bathroom to enjoy the natural light of the bedroom
In order to obtain as large an interior space as possible, the kitchen has been designed in a linear manner and equipped with a large storage capacity with two large empty spaces along the way: a horizontal one for the worktop, sink and hob, and a vertical one that frames the window on the inner courtyard. One of the kitchen cabinet doors provides access to a laundry room
The use of color also contributes to the setting of the scene. The spatial unit was accentuated by the wooden floor. The walls and ceiling form a white canvas support for various pre-Columbian artifacts and works of art, which fragment the rigidity of the house and give personality to the House Born
The project goes beyond the existing limits to reveal the soul of the space and respond as best as possible to the aspirations of its inhabitants
