An interplay of different shapes and heights for the interiors of Casa AM
The pragmatic and simple distribution contrasts with a complexity of forms and heights of the interior spaces: a bedroom with a low gabled ceiling or the continuous living and dining spaces with exposed beams distinguish the Chilean Casa AM
To address this problem, he first incorporates a continuous skylight on the north side of the project, which is responsible for natural light inside the house, illuminating the main hallway and the common spaces of the living room and dining room. Although the exterior of the project is not distinguished by large plastic interventions, the interior of the house presents an interplay in which each space has a different height and shape from the surrounding exterior, full of character and personality. In the case of the bedrooms, the interior ceiling is gabled and lower, creating a more cozy space, the living room and dining room of the house are a large continuous high space with exposed beams and concrete fireplace, while in the kitchen the ceiling is flat
