The Machagua country house is located in the town of Cachagua, in the Chilean municipality of Zapallar. Croxatto y Opazo Arquitectos decided to superimpose several structures of different materials, until obtaining a panoramic terrace overlooking the sea. At the base we find a large structure, conceived as a large solid stone, carved and eroded, which meets the needs of the given spaces

This volume, which runs from north to south, is interrupted at the main entrance of the house. To the south are the living room, dining room, kitchen and various service facilities. This area opens onto the main west courtyard and a first level terrace, where the outdoor barbecue and the dining area are located. To the east the house backs onto "El Golf", a road with a permanent flow of vehicles and pedestrians
The ceiling of the living and dining room is crossed by a large stone slab, from which hang large wooden beams, which incorporate the lighting for this space. Above this slab is another level of terrace, for relaxing and sunbathing, which overlooks the main courtyard
Above the stone is a second structure with a rustic style, clad in oak, which houses the master bedroom, on which a third level of terrace with a 360-degree view is situated. A large external staircase connects the three terrace levels
