The extension is at the expense of an abandoned garage, consisting of two separate volumes: the smaller one houses the kitchen, the larger one the canteen. The two volumes are both rectangular in plan, with a single pitched roof, one behind the other
The architectural language adopted is inspired by the German pedagogical wooden blocks Froebel. Although the building is surrounded by vegetation, there is always a search for interaction with neighbouring buildings through the design of the roof and the use of the same materials
