In Osnabrück, in the V-shaped space between an alder tree and an oak, Baumraum studio designed a tree house next to a small stream, open to the south-west and with a view of trees and greenery, with large windows and two terraces
A specific request was to open to the south-west, so as to have a view of the wide meadow and the landscape with trees. The most surprising design element is the semi-circular shape of the house, with large openings and two terraces on different levels
A bench on the upper level protected by the overhanging roof provides a picturesque place to meditate and experience the changing of the seasons at close quarters. The interior is furnished with natural oak and includes a large bed area, a bench and a flat cupboard
The bench and bed are covered in light grey wool felt with various shells completing the picture. The house is a perfect refuge even during the harsh winter months, thanks to the all-round insulation and a small stove
