This renovation project consists of two parts: an external one called "Gentle Genius", an internal one called "Infection". These two parts correspond to two different action states: while the exterior with its multifaceted sides expresses protection and seems to hover towards instantaneous movement, the interior appears more static, almost hardened, as if it were made of ice
Red and chaotic facade in Puglia. Architecture between past, present and future
The GG-loop Studio interprets this project as a contrast between external and internal. The first is chaotic, with jagged surfaces that express madness and passion. The interior, with its blue tones, representing solitude and tranquillity

The facade of the Gentle Genius appears to be flat in some parts, calmer and in others the surface is more chaotic, revealing the intensity of some dramatic moments. This sequence of extreme joy and deep sadness is also expressed by the colours: the red of the exterior as a feeling of anger, madness and passion blending with the blue of the interior as feelings of loneliness, tranquillity and sadness
The exterior acts as a protective shield providing a generative effect inside, to purify and heal, to cancel the echoes in the empty internal spaces. New life enters the gaps, to restore, to create a new positive condition. The inside tries to generate new life, to recreate a positive balance in a long abandoned space
