On the hills of the south-western side of the province of Bolzano, Villa EB is located along the renowned South Tyrolean Wine Road, surrounded by vineyards and small forests. The studio monovolume architecture + design is responsible for the architecture and design of this villa, which was created after a complex renovation of a 1960s villa
An organised architecture for Villa EB. A luxurious residence on the renowned Strada del Vino
Large windows, curved structures and materials in complete harmony with the surrounding landscape define the elegant Villa EB, the product of a complex renovation of an existing villa dating back to the 1960s performed by the studio monovolume architecture + design

The previous residence had all the limitations of a house designed according to the standards of those years, with limited glass areas, a very closed enclosure and few views of the landscape. The desire of the new owners was to have a house that would blend in with the landscape and the surrounding space but without renouncing a modern design
Initially, the building is hardly noticeable: the natural slope of the land hides its existence, which is only felt once you get into the house. A tiled roof rises from street level and wraps around the building. The "camouflage" with the landscape is emphasised by the earth-coloured metal sheet cladding, worked with graphic effects, and by the terraces, worked with a curved design, enriched with stones in the same colour as the tiles
The continuity between inside and outside is guaranteed by large sliding doors: you can enjoy the view from every corner of the house. Inside, the large spiral staircase with its organised shape, in metal and wood, connects the ground and first floors, and is topped by a large oval skylight. The swimming pool itself, built into the landscape, creates further continuity between the house, the hill and the sky, in perfect harmony with the landscape
