Historic loft of the twentieth century in the center of Madrid. Project of a house inside a house
The project is much closer to the process of a single-family house construction than to an internal rehabilitation and is carried out by Zooco Studio, which generates ten different horizontal structures of different heights hosting different functions.
Everything is done through a metal structure finished in white, which sometimes rests on the floor and sometimes hangs from the ceiling, whose intermediate spaces are filled with wooden or glass panels depending on the function they serve. Thanks to the spacious volume, you can create different uses and spaces of different scale, creating intimate and collective spaces
The structure used is as thin as possible, which is why we opted for a metal system within which the installations are contained. The rest of the materials mimic white walls and existing wood. Thanks to the opacity of the glass that encloses the intermediate space of the structure, privacy is guaranteed.
