Loving the wild nature of the southern canal, they had the desire to build a small refuge right here where they could spend their summer holidays

The idea was that of a very simple project, with a modern and compact structure, characterized by openings carved into the roof and walls and animated by the entrance of the light or by panoramic points

Visitors approach the building from the south, from where you can see a shed signalling the entrance

To the north and west the windows open onto the landscape in the distance while to the south and east they open onto the water

The south and east elevations remain mostly solid, to the benefit of privacy

Skylights on the roof provide natural light, as well as a view of the starry sky at night

Soft pine plywood provides warmth and makes the interior more welcoming

The patio located in the western corner of the house extends into the landscape, connecting the building to the larger site and located as a starting point at the beginning of the trails
