The apartment purchased to meet this need was located in the famous Saint Germain des Près district, but was quite outdated and very dark. The architects therefore addressed the renovation by completely reorganizing the space while maintaining the old charm of the building

The clients of the Pierre Louis Gerlier studio who mostly live on an estate in the French countryside, wanted to create a pied a terre in Paris where they could feel as if they were staying in a hotel surrounded by simple and pure decoration
All the service rooms (kitchen, bathroom with a shower, WC) are integrated behind a curved wall covered with panels that create a diagonal perspective and increase the perception of width. The floor is light beige waxed concrete throughout the apartment in order to unify everything and accurately reflect maximum light. The walls of the living room are light green, while those of the toilet and the bathroom are made of dark green waxed concrete in order to create a more intimate feeling
