Domestic life concealed by wooden slats. Privacy in the centre of Barcelona

The mateo arquitectura studio designs the façade of a building like a succession of layers: an inner layer of glass and stainless steel, and an outer layer of wood, which can be opened and closed at will, protecting the tenants' privacy

Located in the centre of the city, the designers decided to guarantee privacy by providing the building's façade with a succession of spaces, ending with a layer of wooden slats which can be opened and closed at will

Thanks to these layers, the interior of the living spaces is protected from noise and prying eyes, as well as providing the building with an urban image
