The Imprint is a complex of two buildings built near Seoul Incheon airport and includes a disco and a covered theme park. The windowless structures have three key design elements: the imprints of the facades of the surrounding buildings, two raised entrances and a golden entry point covering a corner of the building

MVRDV studio designs The Imprint, a complex of two buildings used for artistic entertainment where the distinctive feature is that there are no openings except "raised" entrances, which are deliberately marked and where the facades depict the surrounding buildings
The MVRDV Imprint is part of the larger Paradise City complex of 6 buildings in total, which will serve as an entertainment and tourist attraction complex. The Imprint's design is therefore the result of a simple client's request to create windowless facades
The project therefore works as a projection of the facades of the surrounding buildings that are "imprinted" as a relief motif on the facades. This ensures consistency in Paradise City, which is therefore not a collection of individual "objects" but a real city
In order to obtain the desired impression of the surrounding buildings, The Imprint's façade is made of glass fibre reinforced concrete panels. Since many of the 3,869 panels are unique, the construction required the molds to be produced individually using MVRDV's 3D modeling files. Once installed, these panels were painted white to emphasize the relief in the design
The golden dot, obtained simply by using golden paint instead of white, is the most evident and captivating expressive element of the project, reinforced by the facade lighting at night
