Triplex in Paris: blue and light oak for a contemporary and warm apartment
In the heart of Paris, a 235-square-meter apartment left untouched for decades is being redesigned and reorganized according to the owners' new needs
Ground floor and second floor, thanks to the double height of the living room, are connected in a new way. A careful study involved the choice of materials and color spectrum: blue and light oak give shape and identity to the apartment
The connection between the different spaces is created by the custom oak and blue compositions found in the kitchen, living room bookcase and entrance hall. On the upper floors, each room has its own identity but remains in harmony with the whole thanks to meticulous color and decorative choices
It was decided to keep the old elements as much as possible, such as the brick in the 2nd floor or the parquet on the ground floor, the cast-iron radiators, and the fireplace: elements that go beyond the ecological approach of "recycling," but that maintain the identity of the accommodation by transforming it into a warm and contemporary home
