Shay Alkalay and Yael Mer have created a colourful environment on the fourth floor of VitraHaus, where they have always imagined living with their two children: their installation is inspired by a young, active and creative family

They want to show how a space can work perfectly for both parents and children, for work and play. Raw-Edges' carefree approach to the use of materials, colours and products is a hallmark of the presentation and their work in general. Other key factors in their installation at VitraHaus include movement, improvisation and the unexpected
For Raw-Edges it was essential to create a spontaneous, realistic and above all serene environment. The bathroom, for example, has been extended to include a study for colour experimentation and several Cork Stools have been grouped together to form the base of a bed
Visitors are encouraged to explore the setting, approaching the environment with the curiosity of a child and discovering something new each time. The product collage by Vitra and Artek combines various natural materials such as wood, glass and soft-coloured fabrics with strong colours
