Juan Carlos Loyo is an architect, designer, and contemporary artist born in Chihuahua, Mexico. His architecture incorporates vernacular and sustainable elements to create spaces that encourage inhabitants to engage with the environment through their senses.

He is the founder of Programa VACA (VeranoAprendeConstruyeAyuda – “Summer Learn Build Help”), a community self-construction program that utilizes natural materials to combat extreme poverty, assisting communities in Puebla, Querétaro, Chiapas, and in India.
