When design meets history
The studio Lascia la Scia oversaw the renovation of an elegant apartment in Via Sottocorno, located in a building from the early 1900s, rebuilt in the 1950s. The project followed a conservative approach, maintaining the original layout of the spaces while reinterpreting them to meet the needs of contemporary living. The distribution remained unchanged, with targeted interventions to improve the functionality of the rooms without altering their historical essence. For example, the bathroom was reorganized to accommodate a larger shower, while the kitchen was expanded and opened up, integrating with the windowed corridor to enhance natural light. This careful balance between tradition and innovation is a distinctive element of the best interior design projects, capable of combining history and modernity.
