The entrepreneur Nikos Karaflos contacts k-studio with the idea of transforming an abandoned wine factory on the west coast of Greece into a hotel. There are several abandoned industrial structures, wineries and distilleries, which characterize the site, which have remained intact since the 1920s, overlooking one of the most pristine places in the Peloponnese

The history and raw beauty of the existing buildings have been preserved and delicately exposed in a design that gives new life to the walls, between brusqueness and elegant interventions, transforming their austere functionality into a place of calm, relaxation and comfort: this transformation was the main challenge of the project
The main materials are concrete, steel, glass and wood to mention a nautical connection of the site to the sea. But the new construction has also left the buildings relatively intact to maintain their strong presence. The key design of the hotel contrasts and cleverly balances the old and the new using an industrial palette in an elegant way
