Examining the available lot, the architects give the project its first imprint by deciding to close the dwelling as much as possible on the side facades to mitigate proximity to neighbors, while maintaining an open relationship with the front facade and the rear garden
The client desired an open space to maximize the extension of the social area, so the designers create an internal patio that distributes all the daytime areas without really separating them: in this way the entire entrance area, kitchen, living room and dining area function as one space. From the area disengaged by the internal patio, there is also access to the sleeping area overlooking the porch and garden
In terms of volume, however, the architects decide to create two areas distinctly separated by the corridor and the inner courtyard, marking the separation between social and private areas. This distinction allows for interior ceilings of various heights that create dynamism and strongly characterize each room
