Conceived as an expansion of the existing hospital building, the design for the new Humanitas Congress Center, curated by architect Filippo Taidelli, is guided by the intention to combine a sense of representativeness with the formal characteristics of the existing structure

The result is a composition of ceramic-clad volumes, with the prominent feature being the light-box created by the glazed volume connecting to the conference halls. The maximum utilization of glass surfaces allows for the optimization of natural light and emphasizes the continuity between interior and exterior spaces
The interior area of the building is a flexible space surrounded by technical and functional environments. This layout can accommodate various activities such as conventions, conferences, presentations, or events, as well as serving as the main function of the foyer for the conference halls. In case of need, these activities can also take place in the outdoor spaces, which are equipped as natural extensions of the interior spaces
