"Perception" is a project by Sepka architekti, originating from a reflection on how we perceive or do not perceive historical monuments and social and cultural activities that surround us in everyday life that are often invisible to our eyes

The protagonist of this project is the baroque Samson fountain, located in the square of Přemysl Otakar II in České Budějovice, an important monument and symbol of the city. It is certainly impossible to think of the square without this work, but the question is: do we pay proper attention to it, or do we only notice it inadvertently?

In its vicinity there is also the House of Art, in which there are spaces that offer very attractive artistic experiences, but which are hidden from our sight. In this regard, the project seeks to shed light on the idea of how we perceive or don't perceive the most hidden landmarks or places that offer cultural activities

Samson's Fountain was surrounded for three weeks by a wooden structure, and embedded in a circular space that separated it from the square creating a calm and intimate backdrop. This circular space is in turn connected by a path with another circular space located on the second floor of the House of Art, in a different context
