Arthur and Mathilde's mother, the owners, dreamed that their children would bring a part of her native Italy to the French city of Lyon, through the traditional "piadina". The two were sure that to bring this recipe into the contemporary world they needed to portray it through a modern brand that could attract a young and modern clientele

Located in the district "Confluence" and surrounded by residential buildings designed by the most important contemporary architects, event venues and nightspots, the shopping center in which Piada is located, has been developed for multifunctional purposes and integrates a cinema, an indoor adventure park, shops and restaurants
For the concept it was necessary to design a space that would transmit the Italian heritage from the product on sale, including its traditional elements and natural ingredients. The space above required a reminder of the past, but through modern aesthetics, so from the beginning Masquespacio opted for the use of handcrafted tiles, as well as a series of elements such as pendant lamps and arches with mirrors that are reminiscent of the traditional bars of ancient Italy
Through the use of plants, wood and terracotta as well, the natural aspect was immediately visible. As with many projects designed by Masquespacio, a large amount of colour is used to illuminate the Piada consumers' day, while they enjoy a delicious piadina
