A multi-family villa, surrounded by lush greenery in Mariano Comense (Italy), rising on three levels, also integrating a majestic greenhouse. Each floor has been designed to be customized according to the needs and tastes of future residents. The architectural studio Virginia Lorello has studied the clients' needs in great detail for a functional and design result, dividing the property into different apartments.

The division of the multifamily villa

In order to allow the division of the building into separate apartments, careful architectural interventions were carried out, including the creation of a new stairwell. This phase was coordinated by architect Cappellini, who also supervised the external aesthetic changes. The architectural studio Virginia Lorello focused on the configuration and interior design, in close collaboration with the clients.

The Ground Floor Apartment and Balanced Design

Designed for the daughter and her partner, a young couple passionate about refined essential design and inspired by industrial aesthetics, the ground floor apartment represents an example of customization and style.

The Living Room

The boiserie, a defining element of the living room, visually guides from the entrance door to the living area, harmoniously integrating the space between the fireplace and the TV area. These elements are not only aesthetic but also conceal various installations, reducing their visual impact.
The materials used, such as stone for the fireplace cladding and oak accents, have been selected for their aesthetic and functional homogeneity, as well as their technical properties, such as fire resistance and stain resistance.

The Open Space Kitchen

The kitchen, in communication with the living room, opens up to the outside and the greenhouse through two large openings. The central island and the refrigerator/pantry columns define the space, while the oak wood and stone contribute to creating a harmonious and welcoming atmosphere.

The Bathroom

The bathroom follows the same stylistic line as the apartment, with neutral colors and coordinated materials. The design challenge was to incorporate both a bathtub and a shower in the available area, while maintaining a pleasant aesthetic and consistency of volumes.

The Bedroom

The bedroom was created by transforming a pre-existing outdoor porch. The roof has been renovated and the predominant use of white allows for contrasts with darker tones, without compromising the harmony and brightness of the design.

The First Floor Apartment, the sartorial approach to the architectural project.

The Kitchen and Living Room

The residential unit located on the first floor unfolds from an entrance that harmoniously merges into the living room, bending towards a kitchen corner that overlooks a small internal balcony, integrated into the greenhouse. The kitchen, characterized by a linear design, combines functionality and aesthetic cleanliness in every detail. The environment is made bright by the white color of the doors, while the perception of depth is accentuated by the skillful use of wood grain. Distinctive elements are the doors with 45° angles, wooden inserts, and milled handles that create a visual rhythm interrupting the sequence of doors. These details give the kitchen a sophisticated character, with a touch of craftsmanship and tailoring.

The Bathroom

The sartorial design continues in the bathroom, where the white lacquer and the use of slightly darkened oak create a play of contrasts. Among oak surfaces, drawers with 45° angles and large drawers that also serve as visual bases are inserted. The bathroom, already enhanced by the presence of glass-cement and a sloping attic with an elegant skylight, is characterized by the alternation of tiles in different shades, creating a relaxing and elegant overall effect.

The Bedroom

The bedroom is also defined by the structure of the pitched roof with exposed wooden beams, painted white, and the skylight that ensures abundant natural lighting. An oak wardrobe, in line with the kitchen and bathroom furnishings, stands out against the background, balancing the brightness of the ceiling and walls. In this contemporary-style environment, an antique family dressing table fits perfectly, serving as a link between the past and this new interpretation with a slightly rustic and welcoming flavor.

In conclusion, this project of a multifamily villa is an excellent example of how architecture, interior design, and customization can merge to create unique and tailor-made spaces for each inhabitant.
