Entering Volare is like traveling to Italy. The playfully traditional graphic interior by Studio Modijefsky combines with a palette of muted reds, oranges, whites and blues that take visitors back to Amalfi Costa in the 1960s. The timeless elements, such as ceramic tiles, plaster, rough textures, striped patterns, and cotton fabrics, evoke a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere that is purely Italian
Volare: a modern restaurant which reminisces about the past but embraces the contemporary
West Amsterdam is home to Volare, the new Italian restaurant that on weekends transforms into Bomboloni's bar, distinguished by muted colors, arches and patios that evoke memories of Italian summers: a sensual swagger mixed with absolute simplicity

Legendary Italian architects seem to be the hidden directors of this project. The harmonious balance of simple background and cheeky elements lends a fresh and unique touch to a predominantly traditional setting. Soft, delicate hues open the doors to a casual yet refined cocktail bar where you can enjoy an aperitif from the refined selection of appetizers
The restaurant is Volare's most distinctive space. A chef's corner table welcomes guests to an interactive environment where you can get a behind-the-scenes look at the operations of a working kitchen. A symmetrical grid of screen-printed posters overlooks the custom benches, outlining the perimeter of the room
On the opposite side, a light beige wall is segmented by strips of mirror, creating an interplay of bounce and reflection between outside and inside. The galaxy of details, textures and colors might be overwhelming, but instead of competing for attention, they relax the eye as well as intrigue it
Volare's calm and beautiful design provides the perfect backdrop for a setting in which to serve the finest Italian tradition, and where one may enjoy in good company the finer things of life
