The goal of LAAR architects was to build a single housing unit that would serve as a refuge and a place to enjoy the nature. This is one of the main reasons why the architecture is distributed in four blocks, increasing the permeability between inside and outside
Winter House: a dance of different colors in the middle of unspoiled nature
Textures, volumes, cracks, bays that narrow or extend the space according to need: this is the Winter House by LAAR, in Yucatan, whose block spans emphasize the structures that seem to dance side by side

Starting from the avenue, a material dialogue is created which reflects the sincerity of the elements, such as stone and wood. The space is ordered by a north-south axis that seems to be the backbone of the house, reaching the green oasis of the Country Club
Towards the golf course there is a game of differentiated volumes, whose flared bays reduce the weight, creating textures that would allow a wide management of both permeability and flexibility, giving the opportunity to transform the entire house into an extension of a golf course
The floor plan is divided into a social area, which includes the living and dining room, bar, office, kitchen, pool and terrace, and a more private area, which includes four bedrooms and bathrooms. Each space is distinguished by its privacy features and its exposure to the outside world
