Vertebral is an architecture and landscaping studio founded in Mexico City in 2016. Operating in a bustling and complex metropolis like Mexico City has deeply influenced their design philosophy, pushing them towards an architecture that values natural and outdoor spaces. This inclination has led the studio to design gardens and build around them, aiming to bring the forest into the city.

Local Materials and Craftsmanship

Vertebral carries out its projects using local materials, chosen based on the context in which it operates, respecting the territory and its identity. The studio has learned to appreciate the effect of time and weather agents on the final aesthetics of its works, embracing change as an integral part of the design. Furthermore, Vertebral believes in the importance of craftsmanship, paying attention to every detail to extend the quality of the project to its minutest aspects.

Mexico City's Environmental Culture Center:its countless microcosms reflected in a garden

The Mexico City Environmental Culture Center is a controversial project proposed by the Mexican government. In an area where pure reforestation would have been preferable to a large construction, architecture emerges that satisfies both needs by elevating the forest above itself
